1:1 Leadership Coaching

Private Coaching for Leaders Who Want It All

You’re leading a team, chasing career goals, and trying to have a life outside work—but something’s always getting sacrificed. Or you’re so burned out you’ve lost sight of what you actually want.

Here’s what most leadership coaching misses: different parts of your life don’t exist in a vacuum. The promotion that requires another move. The stretch assignment that conflicts with starting a family. The leadership style that isn’t working and doesn’t feel like you. We work on all of it, because real success means thriving at work and building the life you actually want.

  • Whole-person strategies that integrate your professional ambitions with your personal goals—not one at the expense of the other
  • A confidential space to explore what you really want, not just what you’re supposed to want
  • People management skills that work to resolve performance situations, delegate without micromanaging, and support your team without constant firefighting

What It’s Like to Work Together

Frequently Asked Questions

Start with your primary goal!

If you’re focused on the job search for a new role, Resume & Career Services are the right fit.

If you lead people and teams and want to lead with more confidence, clarity, or authority and/or you want to explore the intersection between your life and your work, 1:1 Coaching is designed for that.

Workshops and events are best for teams or organizations looking for custom leadership development.

Coaching is a collaborative partnership all about supporting you in navigating your life and work ambitions and challenges.  It’s typically focused on the present or the future and about gaining clarity, building skills, and taking intentional action towards meaningful goals.

Therapy is focused on helping people process, heal, and manage mental health challenges.  It often explores past trauma, patterns, and emotional regulation in order to reduce distress and improve psychological well-being.

Think of it this way: therapy helps you heal from the past, coaching helps you build the future.

No!  Coaching is also effective for first-time and mid-level managers who are still determining their leadership voice, navigating real leadership challenges, and want to grow intentionally. You don’t need an executive title, just a desire to lead and live well.

Each session is a structured conversation in a confidential, non-judgmental space where we focus and explore specific objectives to keep you moving forward.

You bring your real situations and concerns and I listen actively, ask questions, and provide my observations that help explore from all angles.  We’ll work through your goals, challenges, and what you’re trying to achieve and develop strategies and tools tailored to your specific constraints and preferences, not just generic leadership theory.  There will be ample opportunity for practice if that’s helpful – opportunities to test different approaches, rehearse tough conversations, and refine your delivery before the pressure’s on.

Sessions can be exploratory (seeing what’s possible), reflective (understanding patterns), strategic (considering your next move), tactical (prepping for tomorrow’s meeting), or a combination of all of those depending on what you need and want most.

The 3-Month Reset is for an immediate need on a specific issue where you really need stability fast – new manager overwhelm, a specific high pressure situation, a challenging employee, etc. We work intensively on the immediate challenge to get you back to terra firma. Think of this as crisis support, not deep development.

The 6-Month Leadership Development Program is designed with more breathing room to uncover and address patterns around a specific skill area, not just band-aiding the symptoms. There’s time and space to practice, mess up, reflect, and refine your approach between sessions. The intentional pauses let you apply what we work on and bring back real results. This is about sustainable skill-building and breaking the cycles that keep you stuck.

The Full-Year Breakthrough Leader is true leadership transformation. We work through entire performance cycles, major transitions, and define your leadership values, philosophy, and style. You can develop long-term judgment, foresight, and what you stand for as a leader, not just tactics for this quarter.

Where the 3-Month Reset gets you through the moment and the 6-Month Leadership Development helps you through a chapter, the Full-Year Breakthrough helps you change the story.

Totally understandable! I primarily work in structured coaching engagements because leadership development works best with continuity, not one-off conversations. Coaching is an investment, not just financially but also in terms of your time, mental energy, and willingness to do work that advances the edge of your comfort zone.

That said, before any engagement, I start with a 30 minute complimentary fit check. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you here, the kind of support you’re looking for, and whether our styles click. You’ll get a sense of how I work, I’ll understand what you’re dealing with, and we’ll both know if this makes sense.

Realistic answer? It depends on what we’re working on, how much time you’re able to allocate, and how much you want to accelerate your progress.

Many clients are booked to the max and can’t carve out much more than 10-15 minutes between sessions to try a new approach and reflect upon what happened before we connect again.

Other clients want to move faster and are able to invest several hours between sessions practicing, journaling, or refining their approach independently, which brings a lot more that we can explore and discuss.

You don’t need to do hours and hours of reflection or radically change everything between sessions. In fact, sometimes the smallest shifts produce the longest lasting transformations. But, for coaching to produce results, you do need to actually apply your learnings and introspect to inform the work.

That depends on a lot of different variables. Everyone and every situation is different and results aren’t linear or instant. Change is hard!

For some clients, incremental shifts and changes in perspective can happen as soon as the first session and for others, it may take several sessions of practice and adjustment. For many clients, positive changes start to be noticeable after 3-6 sessions.

Yes, our sessions are completely confidential. I don’t share what we discuss, what you’re working on, or any details of our conversations with your employer—even if they’re paying. Period. This is part of my engagement agreement with companies so everyone is clear from the start.

What I will provide to your company (if requested): confirmation that you’re attending sessions and engaging in the process. That’s it. No content, no progress reports, no assessment of your performance.

The only exception to confidentiality would be if you disclosed something that poses imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, which is standard for any coaching relationship and required by professional ethics.

The pricing reflects the depth, care, individualized nature of the work, and reserved space in my practice.

There are payment plans available and in limited cases, I do offer a small number of sliding-scale arrangements for people navigating financial hardship or career transition, offered thoughtfully based on need and fit.

If the cost feels like a barrier, feel free to mention it when you reach out and we can talk through what might be possible.

Start with where you are in the process. If you’re thinking about a job search and want a professional perspective before applying, the Resume Audit is a smart first step. If you’re preparing to apply (or already applying but not getting interviews), the Resume Reset is the best place to start. The Application to Interview is for people who are ready to move quickly and want end-to-end support.

Not in the way people usually mean. A resume isn’t just about getting past a screen, it’s meant to carry you through the interview process with confidence. If it doesn’t sound like you, that disconnect can actually work against you. So, instead of handing you a polished document that feels unfamiliar, the work is collaborative so your resume reflects your voice, experience, and judgment. I’ll provide feedback and offer suggestions along with the reasoning and it’s up to you to make decisions and edits you’re comfortable with.

Think of this less like a quick edit and more like a thoughtful alignment. When your resume and how you show up match, the interview feels natural instead of forced – that’s what ultimately gets results.

Even better! Get your resume done now while you’re not under pressure, so you’re ready when the right opportunity appears… or when you finally hit your limit with your current situation.

Here’s what happens when you wait: You see a great role posted. There are 100+ applications already. You’re scrambling to update your resume at 11pm after a full day of work, trying to remember what you accomplished 2 years ago, rushing through formatting, and submitting something you know isn’t your best work. Then, you wonder why you didn’t get the interview.

Getting your Resume Reset or even just the Resume Audit done now means you’re positioned powerfully before you need to be. You’ll have clarity on how to talk about your experience, what achievements matter most, and how to position yourself for the roles you actually want. When opportunity knocks, you’re not starting from scratch, you’re ready to move.

Plus, having a strong resume often gives people the confidence to actually start looking instead of staying stuck because the task feels overwhelming.

Timelines vary by service and current engagements. Resume Audits are typically turned around quickly. The Resume Reset and Application to Interview engagements include live sessions and iterative review, so timing depends on scheduling availability and your responsiveness in new updates. That said, the process is designed to move efficiently without feeling rushed. Feel free to reach out and inquire for live turnaround estimates!

Yes. Resume Reset and Application to Interview clients can add personalized upgrades such as LinkedIn profile review, refresh, additional interview practice, guidance for case or technical interview prep, and compensation and benefits negotiation support.

No, and that’s intentional. Hiring decisions are influenced by many factors outside of our control, including mundane details like timing of the job posting and the other candidates in the pool. What I do provide is clear positioning, strong storytelling, and practical guidance so your resume and interviews reflect your experience accurately and confidently so you can focus on finding that best fit role for you.
